Overview

Seeking to create more product familiarization within the Quantity Surveyor sectors and better coverage in nationwide scale, Glodon Indonesia interested to bring the BIM solution towards the educational institution in Indonesia.

Its aimed to fasten the process of digitalizing Indonesian construction industry, which at present is somewhat lack thereof. One of the issue is the unwillingness of the present generation to adopt digital construction because they’re get used to using old manual method of pen and paper, and therefore saw cubicost as something that unnecessary and even might threaten their job. These attitudes will severely halt the progress of converting Indonesian QS into digital construction world.

Our first client in this programme is Institut Teknologi Indonesia (Indonesian Institute of Technology), one of the privately-owned engineering institute that located at Serpong, Tangerang, Indonesia. Established at 1984, ITI has been supplying thousands of Indonesian engineers (including QS), keen to keep up their pace with their academic competitors, ITI decided to work together with Glodon Indonesia by purchasing Cubicost and participate with the student exchange programme, with aim to keep their institution up to date with the digital construction evolutions.

The ITI agreed to form cooperation with Glodon for both of purchasing the cubicost system and also participate with the student exchange program. The student exchange arranged between ITI and Shaanxi Vocational and Technical College, with first batch of 12 students are going to be sent for 6 months study at Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, People’s Republic of China. In the future, the students will have a chance to work with Glodon once they’re graduated from ITI.

The events by general has been a success for Glodon Indonesia, with ITI agreed to both the student exchange program and also to purchase the cubicost products to be able to compete in the ever-changing world of digital construction. This is the first step of Glodon Indonesia attempt to digitalize the Indonesian construction world from the upstream level, the education institute and the result has been showing a promising future.
