Philippine High-Level Delegation Visited Glodon Beijing and Launched Programs Such as Philippines Digital Construction Development Program

On the morning of August 30th, the Philippine Government and Enterprise High-Level Delegation led by Mr. Rowel S. Barba, Supervising Undersecretary (Vice Minister) of the Philippines Department of Trade and Industry and Alternate Chairman of the Board of Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines, visited Glodon Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Glodon”), Dr. Zhenggang Yuan, President of Glodon, Mr. Qian Liu, Senior Vice President of Glodon, Mr. Yali Zhu and Mr. Fei Zhi, Vice President of Glodon, and other managers and experts gave a warm reception to the delegation.

The event was hosted by Mr. Ethan Chiu, Managing Director of Glodon International Business Unit. In the welcome speech, Mr. Liu Qian, Vice President of Glodon, first warmly welcomed the arrival of the high-level delegation. He pointed out that in the past two decades, Glodon has been committed to driving the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry, and fully promoted and implemented the concept of “digital building”, hoping to promote the construction industry to operate in a new paradigm and enhance people's living quality. He stressed that the construction industry is one of the most important industries and main drivers of economic growth in the Philippines. This visit to Glodon and Beijing is a milestone in the construction industry in the Philippines. It is estimated that in the next 10 years, the minimum investment in infrastructure projects in the Philippines will be 40 trillion pesos, with an upper limit of 130 trillion pesos. Under the strong growth prospects, the Philippine government and enterprises are willing to cooperate with Glodon to meet the future innovation and digital challenges of the Philippine construction industry, enhance mutual understanding and create a better future through full communication with each other.

During the visit, representatives of the Philippine High-Level Delegation and Glodon jointly launched the Philippines Digital Construction Development Program. In the future, the two sides will cooperate in the digital, online and intelligent transformation and upgrading of the Philippine construction industry, provide professional technical education and training for the staff of the Philippine construction industry to enable them to learn and master the advanced concepts and technologies of industrial digital development. This project is not only an exchange between the two sides in the technical fields of BIM technology, digital building, smart city, etc., but also an all-round ecological strategic cooperation on industrial education, government platform and enterprise development. Together with the government departments and construction companies in the Philippines, Glodon will give full play to each other's resource advantages and vigorously expand the cooperation in related fields to achieve the goal of cooperation and win-win.

Philippines 1st BIM Competition Joint Launching Ceremony

Subsequently, the Philippines Department of Trade and Industry and Glodon jointly launched the ceremony of the Philippines first BIM competition. The competition is designed to raise the awareness and application of BIM in the future Philippines, fully explore and cultivate more outstanding BIM technical talents and promote the development of BIM in the whole industry based on the advanced industry advantages of Glodon.

In the future, Glodon will conduct in-depth exchanges and integration with the Philippines in information technology such as BIM, cloud computing, big data, IoT, mobile Internet, AI, etc., and empower the Philippines' construction industry to promote the transformation and upgrading of the Philippine construction industry and advance the development of smart buildings and even smart cities in the Philippines.
