Well done to all BIM Contest 2018 participants, each of which has shown great interest and effort in the BIM application in the industry. Industry players as well as budding talents from the education sector has no doubt experienced a taste of BIM environment in the construction industry. Results that were impossible before, was made possible with the expertise of the participants with the aid of BIM Tools.

We from the organizers congratulate all winners on their achievement and ability to portray each of their capabilities. We would also like to thank all the other participants for their valiant effort during this contest and we hope to see you in the next event.
Judges from various professional bodies are impressed with the great performance of all of the participants. Each of the submission was evaluated in reference to a strict rubric which was initially adapted from the 2017 BIM Contest by BIM Concour, International BIM Competition 2017 by BCA, 2016 PMI China Project Management Award and et cetera. The evaluation rubric was the developed and adjusted to be applicable to the local environment.
The participants were judged based on the evaluation rubric as attached below.

ABOUT THE JUDGES
1. ZAMRI ISMAIL
Ar. Zamri Ismail is a director at Kamal Ismail Associates Sdn Bhd. He is a registered professional architect with Board of Architect Malaysia since 2004 and is involved with more than 80 projects locally as well as internationally, as an architect, project manager and also BIM manager. Other than industrial practices, Ar Zamri also plays an active role in academic contributions in several public and private universities. He is also actively involved with Malaysia Institute of Architects or PAM as a council member for 4 terms and chairman for BIM development committee for 2 terms. He is also involved with Construction Industry Transformation Programme (CITP) in BIM working group, as a judge for numbers of construction relevant contests, speakers for numerous construction events and PAM lectures.
2. MOHD HARRIS ISMAIL
The vice-chairman of BuildingSMART Chapter Malaysia. He is actively involved in BIM consultations, research, lecturing and also training. He currently holds the BIM Director position for several Mega Projects happening in Malaysia through Ascension Technology Sdn Bhd. Previously as Deputy Director for IBS Centre and CIDB IT Dept. to develop cutting edge technology for Malaysia construction industry. Dr. Harris is involved with multi-million construction projects around Malaysia which includes Formula 1 in Sepang and Penang Iconic Hospital project as well as a number of local and Singapore BIM projects for governance and management. Other than practical experience, he is also invited as the speaker for key events from PAM, RICS, BQSM and other professional bodies.
3. CHEW SIAK KOR
As the Service Manager of Glodon Software Sdn Bhd, he leads his team in the efforts of promoting as well as to assist construction industry players in the implementation of BIM. He is a passionate researcher who has built strong relations with international BIM practitioners around places such as Australia, China, Dubai, Finland, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Vietnam and so on. He has practiced as project residence site survey for 10 projects and involved with providing site surveying services for more than 15 projects throughout 10 years of site surveying experience. Experienced with landed houses, high rise residence, retail and offices, factory, infrastructure, shopping center, showroom, temple, academic campuses and other variety of modelling projects across 15 completed models and around 400 model projects indirectly involved.
